forgetting to sleep

So you finally went down today after much shushing and rocking, I am lying beside you trying to sleep, and I notice your eyebrows are coming in, and then I stare at your lashes, your hair, little nose…and of course you wake up before I get to “sleep while the baby sleeps” good advice, wonder who ever got to follow it.

Poor little dude has pretty bad reflux and it kills me to know he hurts, they used to call it colic. Been pretty busy here, sleep is snatched when possible, and the computer is only used occassionally. I hope he feels better soon, he has an amazing disposition when he isn’t feeling sick! We have been having little vowel conversations and singing a lot of Old MacDonald and Head and Shoulders. Down by the Bay is fun too. Well I am off to bed, it is 8pm after all.
