those dang !Kung

So half the time I wonder if I am seriously defunct. “There are no colic babies among the

!kung because the women carry their babies 24 hours per day” yeah so when the hell do they sleep? It just makes you feel like shit for feeling tired,cranky and sore. Perhaps it’s that when women live with extended family, the baby is carried for 24 hours, aunts and grandmas are there to help. I just think in this individualistic nuclear family culture we might not want to compare ourselves to the !kung, because we are bound to come up short and blame ourselves. And you know, sometimes it strikes me how freakin naive I was to think I could ever do this on my own, or even just with my spouse. I mean we are doing it but it is real hard.

Yep, I am bad on little sleep.
